Hezbollah launches drones, rockets toward Israeli forces, IDF says
The Israeli military has said that armed groups in southern Lebanon launched explosive drones and rockets targeting its forces operating near the border area, resulting in injuries to Israeli soldiers.
In a statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said two explosive drones landed near its units during operations in southern Lebanon. It reported that two soldiers were injured, one moderately and one lightly, and were evacuated to hospital for treatment. Their families have been informed, the statement added, Caliber.Az reports.
The military also said that in a separate incident, its air force intercepted and destroyed an aerial object it described as hostile before it crossed into Israeli territory. According to the IDF, no warning sirens were activated in line with operational protocols.
