Hezbollah official predicts political upheaval in Lebanon after Israel conflict
Hezbollah Political Council Deputy Chief Mahmoud Qomati has warned that following a victory of the resistance over Israel, the Lebanese government will confront two possible paths.
In an interview with the Lebanese television channel Al-Jadeed, cited by Tasnim News Agency, Qomati said, “Either the government apologizes to the people of Lebanon and the resistance and retracts its decisions, or it will face a popular tsunami that could lead to its downfall and loss of legitimacy.”
Qomati further asserted that, in his view, Iran’s victory is inevitable and will define the future of the “resistance axis.” “The course of events in the region—from Palestine and Gaza to Syria and Lebanon—will depend on the conditions that Iran sets after its victory in the current war,” he added.
