Hezbollah rules out unilateral retaliation against Israel

Hezbollah will not launch a unilateral attack on Israel in response to Tel Aviv’s strikes on Iran, a senior official from the Iran-backed Lebanese group said on June 13.

“Hezbollah will not initiate its own attack on Israel in retaliation for Israel’s strikes,” the official told Reuters, Caliber.Az reports. 

In a separate public statement, Hezbollah condemned the Israeli assault and expressed full solidarity with Iran.

Earlier, the Lebanese government issued a strong warning to the militant group, stating that it would bear responsibility for dragging the country into war.
