Hezbollah seeks extension of ceasefire with Israel, says lawmaker

A Lebanese Hezbollah lawmaker, Hassan Fadlallah, said the group supports extending the ceasefire with Israel, according to foreign media.

Fadlallah stated that Hezbollah would agree to maintain the truce if Israel also fully adheres to its terms.

Earlier, he had warned that the group would not accept the establishment of a buffer zone in southern Lebanon and had suggested that Hezbollah fighters were prepared to challenge the so-called “yellow line,” a designated boundary area separating positions on the ground.
