High-ranking Pentagon official travels to Türkiye, Poland

Assistant Secretary of Defence for International Security Affairs, Celeste Wallander, departed on November 5 to Türkiye and Poland for high-level defence consultations with these key NATO allies.

While in Türkiye, Wallander will participate in the High-Level Defence Group with the Turkish Ministry of National Defence to discuss regional security issues and bilateral defence cooperation, according to the US Department of Defence.

While in Poland, she will participate in a High-Level Defence Group with the Polish Ministry of Defence to discuss support to Ukraine, defence procurement issues, and European security. Wallander is also scheduled to meet with US troops stationed Poland.
