Hot-mic moment: Xi, Putin, Kim discuss living to 150
Chinese President Xi Jinping spoke about the possibility of humans living up to 150 years during an informal conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin and North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.
Xi noted that people today in their 70s are considered “children,” while in the past, few lived to that age, Caliber.Az reports, citing Bloomberg.
In response, Putin said that with biotechnology and organ transplants, humans could potentially live forever: “With the development of biotechnology, human organs can be continuously transplanted, and people can live younger and younger, and even achieve immortality.”
The discussion on the possibility of immortality took place publicly at Tiananmen Square in Beijing during a parade marking the 80th anniversary of the defeat of militarist Japan and victory over fascism in World War II.
