Houthis claim drone strike on Saudi Aramco refinery in Jazan

Yemen’s Houthi movement said that it had launched a drone attack on an oil refinery operated by Saudi state-owned energy giant Saudi Aramco in the southwestern region of Jazan.

The Houthi-run Saba news agency, citing a military source, reported that several drones were used in the attack.

The source said the strike was carried out in response to what the group described as “violations of Yemeni airspace” over the northern provinces of Saada and Hajjah.

The Houthi source also claimed that the drones successfully struck the refinery.

There was no immediate comment from Saudi authorities or Saudi Aramco regarding the claim.
