Houthis claim missile strike on Tel Aviv with hypersonic weapon
Yemeni Houthis from the Ansar Allah movement said they carried out a successful strike on targets in Tel Aviv using two ballistic missiles.
According to the group’s military spokesman Yahya Sarea, “The missile forces of the Yemeni armed forces conducted a unique military operation, attacking sensitive targets of the Israeli enemy in the occupied area of Jaffa (meaning Tel Aviv) with two ballistic missiles,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Al Masirah.
He specified that the attack involved the new Palestine-2 hypersonic ballistic missile with a separating warhead — used for the second time — as well as a Zulfiqar-type ballistic missile.
Sarea claimed the operation “successfully achieved its objectives.” As a result of the attack, residents of Israel reportedly sought shelter, and operations at Ben Gurion Airport were suspended.
