Houthis launch drone strikes on two Israeli airports, spokesman claims

Yemeni Houthi forces have carried out a series of drone strikes targeting key locations in Israel, including two major airports and a facility near the nuclear site in Dimona, senior Houthi military spokesperson announced.

Yahya Saree, the official representative of the Yemeni Ansar Allah movement, confirmed that the group’s unmanned aerial units executed operations over two consecutive days, Caliber.Az reports, citing foreign media.

“For the second day in a row, the Yemeni armed forces' unmanned aerial units have been conducting military operations, during the latest of which they attacked Lod Airport, Ramon Airport in Umm al-Rashrash, and an important facility in Dimona with three drones,” Saree announced.

The Yemeni Armed Forces congratulated the blessed jihadi operations in Jerusalem and Gaza, which confirmed the vitality of the Palestinian people and the ability of its youth to carry out qualitative operations, as “it also showed the fragility of the enemy’s security measures, no matter how stringent they are”.

The extent of damage caused by the reported drone strikes has not yet been independently verified, and there has been no immediate response from Israeli authorities regarding the incident.

The claimed attacks come amid heightened regional tensions and increasing Houthi involvement in broader geopolitical dynamics, particularly in the context of the ongoing Gaza conflict and strained Iran-Israel relations. The Houthis have previously declared their support for the Palestinian cause and have periodically launched missiles and drones toward Israeli targets in solidarity with Hamas and other allied groups.
