Houthis resume ballistic missile strikes on Mokha Port
Yemen’s Houthi movement, Ansar Allah, has resumed ballistic missile attacks on the port of Mokha, Al Arabiya reports, citing the Yemeni Armed Forces.
A military source told the broadcaster that two ballistic missiles were launched toward the port. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
The latest attack follows a series of strikes claimed by the Houthis on August 11. The group said it had launched a barrage of ballistic missiles and drones at Saudi forces near Mokha and in Yemen’s Marib province.
The Houthis also claimed responsibility that day for an attack on the commercial vessel Tihama in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. A second strike was reportedly carried out while rescue efforts were underway.
At least six people were killed and 10 others wounded in the attack, according to the available reports.
