Huawei to open research laboratory in Azerbaijan
Chinese technology giant Huawei will open a research laboratory in Azerbaijan in the new education year this autumn.
The remarks came from Azerbaijan’s Digital Development and Transport Minister Rashad Nabiyev in a meeting with entrepreneurs representing the innovative ecosystem in Baku on June 14, Trend reports.
According to him, the ministry encourages the opening of such laboratories at universities across the country.
In 2022, 600 highly qualified IT specialists will be trained in Azerbaijan under the state-run program. Within the framework of international cooperation, one thousand IT specialists in the field of cybersecurity are expected to study abroad in the next three years.
Hi-tech research centres for training IT specialists, including Code Academy, Tech Academy and some others already operate in Azerbaijan.
