Hurricane wind causes serious damages in Azerbaijani district PHOTO/VIDEO

The hurricane wind has led to serious consequences in a number of settlements of the Ordubad region in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.

According to APA, the consequences of the strong wing on June 6 were recorded mainly in the city of Ordubad and the villages of Ashagi Andamidzh, Yukhari Andamidzh, Kotam, Dasta, Paraga, Ganza, Nusnus, Ashagi Aylis and Yukhari Aylis, as well as in the village of Shahriyar. Due to the hurricane, which lasted several minutes, 68 large trees fell, and 114 trees were damaged. The wind caused serious damage to the roofs of 91 residential buildings and two residential buildings in the city of Ordubad and rural areas.

The consequences of the disaster also damaged a poultry enterprise operating in the village of Aylis, as well as knocked down 40 power transmission poles, resulting in interruptions of the electricity supply to the city of Ordubad and a number of villages. In addition, the wind-knocked trees in 10 sites damaged the gas pipeline network.

Currently, the executive power and the relevant structures of the Ordubad district are working to identify and eliminate the outcomes of the natural disaster.
