Event on European road safety comes to close in Baku
The second conference of the Regional Network of European Road Policing Organizations (ROADPOL) took place in Baku from December 10 to 11, focusing on the role of police in ensuring road traffic safety.
The event was organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan with the support of the World Health Organization, Caliber.Az reports.
The meeting was attended by 43 delegates from 24 countries, as well as experts and representatives of non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
The main theme of the event was the development of joint actions to improve road safety, strengthen regional cooperation between police agencies, and exchange experiences.
During the sessions and panel discussions, participants discussed measures to reduce the number of road traffic accidents, the use of innovative technologies, and engaging the public in addressing road safety issues.
Participants shared their knowledge and experiences on the use of information technology for effective road safety management to reduce fatalities and serious injuries on European roads.
