Hürriyet: Azerbaijani students visit leading architectural firms in London

A group of students from the Azerbaijan State Academy of Fine Arts explored international architectural practices during a visit to London.

A report on Azerbaijani students' trip to the United Kingdom was published in Hürriyet, one of Türkiye’s leading print publications.

The article noted that third-year academy students Madina Aghamammadova and Seidfatima Mammadova took part in a professional development program in the UK as part of an international project supported by the British Embassy in Baku.

"The main goal of the program was to develop the creative potential of young architects in the fields of efficient water resource management, sustainable urbanisation and modern architectural approaches, provide them with the opportunity to study international experience and form their own perspective on the global architectural community," the publication said.

As part of the program, the students visited offices of leading architectural firms in London, learned about their areas of specialisation, studied international projects, and examined principles of sustainable architecture, innovative solutions and modern approaches to urban planning.

The program also included discussions with renowned architects and experts.

The author of the report, Samir Aslan, wrote that alongside the students, a group of the academy specialists also participated in the initiative, which was implemented in cooperation with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA).

The newspaper noted that the initiative provided Azerbaijani students with an important opportunity to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience, establish international professional connections and gain closer insight into the world of architecture.
