IAEA chief holds talks with Swiss foreign minister on Iran
IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi met with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis in Bürgenstock to discuss recent developments concerning Iran, future diplomatic prospects, and the role of the UN nuclear watchdog.
In a post on X, Grossi said the talks focused on the path forward regarding Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency’s role in the process.
“At this critical moment, it’s important to give diplomacy every opportunity to succeed. Thanks to Switzerland for its longstanding support of the Agency and its commitment to multilateral diplomacy,” Grossi wrote.
