IAEA chief urges against targeting Iran nuclear sites, favours diplomacy

IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi emphasised that nuclear facilities should never become targets of military attacks, and that a return to diplomacy and negotiations remains the only effective way to resolve Iran’s nuclear issue, Nour News reports.

According to Grossi, the Agency is responding swiftly to potential emergencies caused by military actions, with the IAEA Response Centre on constant alert.

So far, no radiation levels above normal have been detected in countries neighbouring Iran, nor are there any signs of attacks on nuclear facilities in the region. Efforts continue to establish contact with Iranian nuclear authorities to monitor the situation.
