IAEA chief visits Rosatom-built El Dabaa nuclear plant in Egypt
International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Director General Rafael Grossi visited Egypt's El Dabaa Nuclear Power Plant on July 10 as part of a working trip that also included talks with Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.
Writing on X after the meeting, Grossi said he and Abdelatty had a "valuable exchange" on topics of regional importance and the strong partnership between Egypt and the IAEA.

The El Dabaa plant, Egypt's first nuclear power station, is being built on the Mediterranean coast with the participation of Russia's state nuclear corporation Rosatom. The project includes four VVER-1200 reactor units.
