Israeli strike kills Hamas Khan Younis brigade commander, IDF says VIDEO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet say they have killed Muhammad Yazouri, commander of Hamas’s Khan Younis Brigade, in a targeted strike in the Khan Younis area of the Gaza Strip.

The strike took place overnight on September 10, according to the IDF.

Yazouri had previously served as deputy commander of the Khan Younis Brigade, commander of a combat support battalion and head of its intelligence division.

The IDF said he was responsible for directing the brigade’s activities and ordering attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.

It also said he had been involved in preparing dozens of attacks against Israeli troops in recent months and had sought to rebuild the brigade’s capabilities after it suffered significant losses during the war.

The same strike also killed Hudayfa Muammar, a company commander, and another member of Hamas’s military wing, Muhammad Bahjat Rashi, the IDF said.
