IAEA chief visits Ukraine to advance nuclear infrastructure security talks
Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Rafael Grossi is currently on a visit to Ukraine, where he met with Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to discuss ongoing efforts to ensure the safety and security of the country’s nuclear energy infrastructure.
“Important meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha today [June 3] in Kyiv. Agreed on importance of IAEA’s continued support for nuclear safety and security in Ukraine, including our permanent presence at ZNPP [Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant], which remains essential,” Caliber.Az reports, citing Grossi’s message on X.

The talks focused on maintaining high safety standards at nuclear facilities amid the continuing challenges posed by the ongoing conflict.
