IAEA confirms damage to key buildings at Iran’s Khondab heavy water plant
The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has confirmed that the main buildings of Iran’s heavy water production facility in Khondab have sustained damage.
According to a post on the agency’s social media, initially, the damage was not visible, Caliber.Az reports.
However, following further assessment, the IAEA stated, “As mentioned in yesterday’s update, while damage to the Khondab Heavy Water Production Plant was initially not visible, the Agency later assessed that key buildings at the facility were damaged, including the distillation unit.”
