The second round of nuclear talks between the United States and Iran is set to take place on February 17 in Geneva. The discussions are expected to focus on Iran’s nuclear programme and potential steps toward reviving or reshaping diplomatic agreements surrounding it.
Earlier this month, U.S. and Iranian officials held indirect talks in Oman.
Speaking to reporters on February 13, US President Donald Trump said any potential agreement with Iran must require zero uranium enrichment inside the country. He added that although Iranian officials have expressed interest in negotiations, they have yet to demonstrate concrete action regarding their nuclear programme.
