ICRC president says plans to meet Putin

President of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Mirjana Spoljaric-Egger expects to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin during her visit to Moscow, the head of the organisation's delegation in the capital Boris Michel told Gazeta.ru.

According to him, the head of the ICRC is likely to arrive in Moscow before the end of this year. Last week, the president of the organisation has already met with Chinese leader Xi Jinping, and now she would like to personally talk to Putin.

Michel also said that the ICRC was ready to mediate between Russia and Ukraine in the exchange of prisoners.
