IDF: Airstrike in central Gaza kills Hamas commander tied to October 7 attack VIDEO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it carried out an airstrike in central Gaza, killing Anas Mohammed Ibrahim Hamed, a commander in Hamas’s Nukhba unit.

According to the Israeli military, Hamed took part in the October 7 cross-border assault into Israel and was involved in the attack on the Nova music festival during the initial offensive.

The IDF said Hamed posed an “immediate threat” to its forces operating in the Gaza Strip at the time of the strike, which it described as a precise aerial operation.

The military added that its forces under Southern Command remain deployed in the area in line with existing arrangements, and will continue operations aimed at removing what it described as immediate threats.
