IDF carries out large-scale overnight operation across West Bank
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF), in coordination with other Israeli security agencies, conducted a widespread overnight operation across the West Bank, resulting in the arrest of 20 wanted individuals and the seizure of weapons and explosives.
According to IDF's information shared on social media, one of the key operations took place in the city of Jenin, where Israeli forces arrested an arms dealer and his accomplice, Caliber.Az reports.
In total, 20 individuals wanted by security forces were detained in various areas of Judea and Samaria.
A clandestine laboratory containing explosives and weaponry was also discovered and dismantled during the raids. In the towns of Tammun and Yavne, dozens of suspects were interrogated, and more than 200 buildings were searched. One additional suspect was taken into custody during these operations.
In Beit Ummar and Tsurif, five individuals were detained, and a sum of money was confiscated. Further arrests were made in villages near Tulkarm, where four suspects were taken into custody and an explosive device was seized. In the city of Ramallah, three more individuals were arrested.
All detainees were transferred to the Israel Police for further investigation.
The IDF emphasised that the operation was part of its ongoing effort to prevent terrorist activity and dismantle militant infrastructure across the West Bank.
