IDF claims elimination of Iran’s top leadership and allied commanders
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has announced the elimination of Iran’s entire senior leadership as well as the leaders of allied militant organisations.
The statement was published on the military’s official page on the social media platform X.
The IDF released a summary report outlining the results of several military campaigns. According to the report, those killed during the operations included Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei; Chief of the General Staff Abdolrahim Mousavi; former Chief of the General Staff Hossein Salami; head of Iran’s emergency command Gholam Ali Rashid; commander of the Aerospace Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Amir Ali Hajizadeh; and commander of the “Syria–Lebanon Corps” of the Quds Force, Hossein Mahdavi.
The list also included leaders of the Lebanese Shiite group Hezbollah, the Palestinian movement Hamas, as well as the chief of staff of the Houthi armed forces, Yemeni militant Muhammad Abd al-Karim al-Ghamari.
