03 March 2026 23:12
Israel said it has eliminated the commander of the Lebanese unit of the Quds Force, the overseas branch of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
In a statement released on March 3, the Israel Defence Forces announced that it had killed Daoud Ali Zadeh, who headed the Lebanese division of the Quds Force — the foreign operations arm of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.
According to the army’s press service, Ali Zadeh was killed during an IDF strike on Tehran on March 3. The statement noted that he had been serving as the acting commander of the Lebanese unit after his predecessor, Hassan Mahdavi, was killed. Mahdavi also died in an IDF strike, the military said.
No further details were provided in the statement.
