IDF concludes Rafah operation, hundreds of terror targets destroyed
Soldiers of the 7th Brigade of the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) have concluded a security operation in the Rafah area along the “yellow line” following approximately three months of continuous counterterrorism activity in the Gaza Strip.
During the operation, troops in cooperation with the Yahalom Unit neutralised dozens of terrorists operating in underground tunnels in the area and destroyed hundreds of terrorist infrastructure targets, including a nearly one-kilometre-long tunnel housing terrorist hideouts and weapons, Caliber.Az reports, citing IDF’s press service.
“In addition, the troops dismantled one of the tunnel shafts in which a reserve Combat Engineering Corps soldier, MSG (res.) Efi (Yona Ephraim) Feldbaum, fell on October 28, 2025.
IDF troops under the Southern Command are operating in the area in accordance with the ceasefire framework and will continue to operate to secure the area along the Yellow Line and remove any immediate threat,” the statement read.
