IDF dismantles rocket, weapons stockpiles in Gaza City
Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) troops from the 401st Brigade, operating under the 162nd Division, have been conducting operations in Gaza City aimed at neutralising threats and dismantling infrastructure belonging to armed groups.
During operations last week, the troops discovered long-range rockets that had been allegedly "positioned and were ready to fire toward central Israel," the IDF said in a statement, Caliber.Az reports.
The rockets were subsequently dismantled by IDF forces.
In addition to the rockets, soldiers uncovered a significant weapons cache containing explosive devices, radios, magazines, and other armaments.
The IDF’s Southern Command said its troops will continue operations against "terrorist organisations across the Gaza Strip to ensure security and prevent future attacks."
