The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said it has significantly escalated its operations in southern Lebanon over the past month, combining targeted ground manoeuvres with coordinated strikes from the air, sea and land against key assets of Hezbollah.
According to an IDF statement released on April 3, approximately 1,000 Hezbollah fighters have been killed so far, including senior commanders and hundreds affiliated with the elite Radwan force.

More than 3,500 targets have been struck across Lebanon, with operations concentrating on weapons depots, launch positions, and command-and-control centres.
Thus, divisions 91, 146, 36 and 162 have led focused ground offensives across several areas in southern Lebanon.
These operations have included targeted raids, the destruction of militant infrastructure and the killing of fighters, as Israel seeks to degrade Hezbollah’s capabilities and push the group away from the border region.
The IDF also reported strikes on key financial assets linked to the Al-Qard al-Hasan association, which it described as a financial network operating alongside Lebanon’s banking system and allegedly used to channel funds from Iran to Hezbollah.
In addition, five major bridges were targeted, which Israel said had been used to transfer weapons and personnel from northern to southern parts of the country.
