IDF eliminates Hezbollah operatives in southern Lebanon VIDEO

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out strikes on November 18, killing two Hezbollah fighters in the Bint Jbeil and Blida areas of southern Lebanon.

A strike in the Bint Jbeil area eliminated an operative involved in restoration activity on behalf of the Hezbollah terrorist organisation, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF press service on Telegram.

According to the statement, in a separate strike in the Blida area, an operative identified while gathering intelligence on IDF forces was eliminated.

“The actions of the two militants constituted violations of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon. IDF will continue to act to eliminate every threat and to defend the State of Israel,” the statement read.

Hezbollah, the powerful Lebanese Shia militant-political organisation backed by Iran, has long engaged in cross-border clashes with Israel, including the 2006 Lebanon War, and the intermittent conflict zone along the Israel-Lebanon border has remained highly volatile for years.

Since the cease-fire agreement of late 2024, which aimed to halt large-scale hostilities between Israel and Lebanon, Israel has accused Hezbollah of rebuilding its missile and rocket arsenals in southern Lebanon and the Beqaa Valley, in violation of the truce.

In response to what it calls the re-arming of Hezbollah and novel threats to its northern border, the IDF has carried out hundreds of air and drone strikes targeting Hezbollah infrastructure, weapons depots and filmmaker-reconstruction sites, escalating the risk of a broader confrontation.
