IDF introduces nationwide restrictions under new civil defence policy
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has announced a change in its policy governing the protection of civilian infrastructure across Israel.
According to an official statement released by the army’s press service, an IDF spokesperson said the updated defence guidelines issued by the Civil Defence Command came into force on Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Under the revised measures, all regions of the country have shifted from a state of full activity to what authorities describe as “necessary activity” only.
The new regulations prohibit educational activities, mass gatherings, and attendance at workplaces, except for facilities classified as essential to vital services. Residents are urged to strictly comply with the command’s recommendations distributed through official communication channels.
Officials added that the complete and regularly updated list of instructions will be available on the National Emergency Portal as well as through the Civil Command’s mobile application.
