IDF issues urgent evacuation alerts across southern Lebanon towns
Israel’s military issued fresh urgent evacuation warnings on the morning of May 3, ordering residents to leave several towns in southern Lebanon, including areas north of the Litani River.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) instructed civilians to evacuate immediately and move at least 1,000 meters away from villages and populated areas, directing them toward open zones, CNN reports.
According to the military, evacuation alerts have been issued almost daily over the past week across southern Lebanon, reflecting ongoing heightened tensions along the border.
The latest warnings covered towns such as Arab Salim and Braykaa, both located north of the zone under Israeli military control.
Despite a declared ceasefire, Israel has continued conducting strikes in southern Lebanon, saying it is targeting Hezbollah positions and infrastructure.
