IDF launches second wave of strikes on Hezbollah targets in southern Beirut VIDEO
On November 21, the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) have completed a second wave of strikes on targets in the Dahieh area, southern Beirut.
According to a statement from the army’s press office, the targets included a terrorist headquarters and Hezbollah’s military infrastructure, Caliber.Az reports.
The IDF highlighted that Hezbollah positions its military facilities in civilian areas of Beirut, making the strikes more complex.
The statement also emphasised that the IDF is making every effort to minimise harm to civilians during these operations.
Notably, Israel's military reported on November 17 that it had targeted over 200 sites in Lebanon since November 16 morning, as airstrikes against Hezbollah, the Iran-backed militant group, intensified following a surge in attacks in late September.
Meanwhile, in Gaza, Israeli airstrikes claimed the lives of at least 46 individuals, including children. Civil defence officials also reported that at least 59 people were missing after a building collapsed in northern Gaza due to the airstrikes.
