The Israeli Air Force continues to carry out operations aimed at securing air superiority across Iran, amid ongoing regional tensions.
To recall, as of June 16, 2025, tensions between Iran and Israel have escalated dramatically, marked by a series of intense military strikes and counterstrikes.
Israel launched extensive air raids targeting key Iranian nuclear facilities and military sites, resulting in over 400 casualties, including the death of Iran’s chief of staff, General Mohammad Bagheri, and several senior nuclear scientists.
In retaliation, Iran fired multiple missiles and drones at Israeli cities such as Tel Aviv and Haifa, causing at least 13 deaths and injuring hundreds more. The strikes also damaged civilian infrastructure, including residential areas and critical energy facilities.
Energy infrastructure on both sides has been severely impacted. A suspected Israeli drone strike ignited a large fire at Iran’s South Pars gas field, halting the production of around 12 million cubic meters of gas daily.
Meanwhile, Iranian attacks caused disruptions at Israel’s Haifa oil refinery, underscoring the conflict’s growing economic toll.
