IDF says eliminates Hamas militant wing leader PHOTO/VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have officially confirmed the death of Muhammad Deif, the leader of the Izzaddin al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of Hamas.
The confirmation came after extensive verification and examination of intelligence, following an airstrike that targeted Deif in the Al-Mawasi area of the southern Gaza Strip on July 13, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF Press Service.
Deif’s death had been a subject of speculation in recent weeks, with media outlets frequently suggesting his likely demise. However, the IDF refrained from making any official announcements until today.
Muhammad Deif, who had been a prominent figure in the Hamas leadership and a key target for Israeli operations, was known for his role in orchestrating numerous attacks against Israeli forces. His elimination is expected to have significant implications for the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
