IDF says Hezbollah operative killed in strike in southern Lebanon
The Israel Defense Forces said it carried out a strike that killed a Hezbollah operative involved in rebuilding the group’s infrastructure in the Tallouseh area of southern Lebanon.
According to the Israeli military’s press service, the individual served as a local representative of Hezbollah in the area.
In this role, he was responsible for coordinating between the organisation and local residents on military and financial matters and was involved in the seizure of private property for militant purposes.
The military said the activities constituted a violation of agreements reached between Israel and Lebanon.
Over the past week, the IDF’s 91st Division has killed four operatives who were engaged in efforts to restore Hezbollah infrastructure, the statement added.
