IDF says Hezbollah rocket landed inside UN base, three personnel hurt PHOTO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said a rocket fired by Hezbollah landed inside a United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) position in the al-Adaysseh area of southern Lebanon, injuring three personnel, two of them seriously.

The launch was detected earlier in the day, and the projectile fell within the UN peacekeeping compound, IDF reports.

A subsequent assessment of the rocket’s trajectory indicated that the fire was carried out by Hezbollah.

The Israeli military said the incident highlights what it described as continued activity by Hezbollah that endangers international forces operating in the area and places UN personnel at risk.
