IDF says individual shot after approaching troops in southern Gaza

The Israel Defence Forces said its troops in the southern Gaza Strip shot and killed an individual on April 29 after the person crossed a designated boundary and approached military positions.

In a statement, the military said the individual crossed what it referred to as the “Yellow Line” and moved towards troops in a way it assessed as posing an immediate threat. The forces then opened fire.

The IDF said its Southern Command forces remain deployed in line with the ceasefire arrangement and continue to operate in response to what it describes as immediate security threats.
