IDF says it destroyed four Hamas weapons depots in Central Gaza
The Israeli military said it struck and destroyed four Hamas weapons storage facilities in the central Gaza Strip overnight on July 15.
According to the Israel Defence Forces (IDF), the sites contained Kalashnikov rifles, RPG launchers, grenades, explosive devices and other military equipment, Caliber.Az reports.
The military stated that the weapons were intended for attacks against Israeli troops operating near the Yellow Line as well as Israeli civilians, adding that the facilities were targeted to eliminate the threat.
The IDF stressed that precautionary measures were taken ahead of the strikes to reduce the risk to civilians, including warnings, the use of precision-guided munitions and aerial surveillance.
Israeli forces operating under the Southern Command remain deployed in the area in line with existing agreements and will continue operations aimed at removing potential threats, the military added.
