IDF says it destroyed Hezbollah launchers, weapons depots in southern Lebanon
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) has destroyed missile launchers, weapons depots, and buildings used by Hezbollah to prepare what it described as terrorist operations in southern Lebanon.
The military said the targets were struck by the IDF on April 28 at several locations north of the forward defensive line, Caliber.Az reports, citing the IDF.
Among the targets were loaded and ready-to-fire launchers, weapons storage facilities, and buildings that Hezbollah operatives used to prepare terrorist activities against IDF forces and the State of Israel.
Troops from the 146th Brigade identified three Hezbollah operatives preparing a launch operation against Israeli forces. Following the identification, the Air Force struck and eliminated them.
In addition, the military reported that Hezbollah launched several explosive drones on Tuesday, April 28, that detonated near IDF units in southern Lebanon, south of the forward defensive line.
One soldier was lightly wounded and taken to the hospital; the family has been notified.
“The IDF will continue to operate against threats to the citizens of Israel and its forces, in accordance with the directives of the political leadership,” the statement added.
