IDF says it uncovers Hezbollah weapons caches in southern Lebanon PHOTO

The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) said that its troops had uncovered multiple Hezbollah weapons caches during ongoing operations in southern Lebanon, as Israeli forces continue security activities along the border.

According to the military, soldiers from the 91st Division operating in the security zone discovered dozens of weapons over recent days, including Kalashnikov assault rifles, RPG launchers, explosive devices, grenades, ammunition magazines and other military equipment.

The IDF said the weapons were located and seized as part of efforts to dismantle Hezbollah's military infrastructure in the area.

In a separate incident, the military said troops near Ras Bayada identified an individual approaching their positions. The IDF stated that soldiers fired a warning shot and ordered the person to stop.

After the individual allegedly failed to comply, troops opened fire, saying they acted to neutralise what they described as a threat.

The IDF did not provide further details on the individual's identity or condition. Hezbollah has not immediately commented on the Israeli military's claims.
