IDF says over 30 Hezbollah fighters killed in northern operations
The Israel Defence Forces said its troops have killed more than 30 militants from Hezbollah in recent days during operations along Israel’s northern border.
According to the military, the operations are part of ongoing forward defensive efforts aimed at maintaining an extended line of defence and ensuring the safety of civilians in northern Israel.
“In recent days, IDF troops eliminated more than 30 Hezbollah terrorists, including around 10 militants from the Radwan Force unit,” the IDF said. “The terrorists were killed during various brigade-level operations involving Israeli Air Force strikes, tank fire, sniper activity and drones.”
The military described one incident in which its forces identified several Hezbollah operatives inside a building. “Within minutes of detection, the building was struck, resulting in the elimination of the terrorists,” the statement said.
The IDF added that dozens of Hezbollah infrastructure sites and weapons storage facilities were also destroyed during the operations.
“The IDF is acting decisively against the Hezbollah terrorist organisation in response to its deliberate decision to attack Israel on behalf of the Iranian terrorist regime,” the statement said. “The Israel Defence Forces are taking action to eliminate any threat to civilian populations.”
