IDF strike kills deputy head of Hamas intelligence directorate VIDEO
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and Israeli Security Agency (ISA) killed the Deputy Head of Hamas’ Intelligence Directorate, who was responsible for planning the October 7 massacre together with Yahya Sinwar, Caliber.Az reports citing IDF's Telegram.
Based on precise IDF and ISA intelligence, IDF fighter jets struck the Deputy Head of the Hamas’ Intelligence Directorate, Shadi Barud.
In his previous role as the Head of the Fire Control Centre in Hamas' Operations Unit, Barud planned the barbaric October 7 attacks together with Yahya Sinwar. Barud had previously served as Hamas' battalion commander in Khan Yunis and was responsible for planning numerous terror attacks against Israeli civilians.
Following this, Barud held several positions in Hamas' military intelligence, and was responsible for information security. Until today, he was responsible for intelligence relations for Hamas.
Moreover, Palestinian sources have said that one of the organisers of the Great March of Return, several protests along the Gaza-Israel barrier, was killed in one of the airstrikes on Gaza City.
The body of the activist was found under the rubble of a house on which a bomb was dropped, NEWSru.co.il reports citing the Palestinian Information Centre.
The Great Marches of Return started in March 2018. They continued almost every Friday. The participants were attempting to break through the barrier and throwing improvised explosive devices and Molotov cocktails at the Israeli military.
Meanwhile, Ismail Haniyeh, the political bureau chief of the Palestinian resistance group Hamas, warned about the consequences of the continuation of the Israeli war against Gaza.
The war “will put the entire region out of control,” Haniyeh said in a televised statement aired by Hamas-affiliated Al-Aqsa TV.
Haniyeh also urged “everyone, all the free people of the world, and all friendly, brotherly, and allied countries, to exert all the required pressure in all forums and in all directions to stop the aggression against Gaza, and to stop this war against our children, women, elders, mosques, universities, and homes.”
