Massive drone, missile attack on Kyiv leaves 23 injured
The number of people injured in Kyiv following a large-scale attack has risen to 23, city officials have confirmed.
According to Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko, 14 of the injured have been hospitalised, while others received treatment on site or in outpatient facilities, Caliber.Az reports, citing Ukrainian media.
Among the injured is a 10-year-old girl, the Interior Ministry said.
The attack, carried out by Russian forces overnight on July 4, involved drones and missiles targeting the Ukrainian capital.
Damage has been reported across at least five districts of the city, affecting residential buildings, schools, hospitals, and transport infrastructure, including railway facilities.
Fires caused by the strike have led local authorities to urge residents to keep their windows closed due to hazardous smoke in the air.
The mayor emphasised the ongoing impact: “Currently, medical sources report 23 injured as a result of the enemy’s attack on the capital. Fourteen have been admitted to hospital, with the remainder receiving ambulatory care or assistance at the scene.”
The Interior Ministry added that the widespread assault damaged both civilian and public infrastructure, underscoring the severe toll on the city.
