Serbian president signals strong commitment to European integration
Serbia remains firmly committed to joining the European Union, with EU membership continuing to serve as the country’s strategic goal, the country's President Aleksandar Vučić said.
Vučić made the remarks while speaking to journalists on the sidelines of the EU–Western Balkans summit in Tivat, Montenegro, Caliber.Az reports per local media.
The Serbian leader said he had held highly productive discussions with several senior European officials, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Council President António Costa, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, and French President Emmanuel Macron.
“I also believe that in the future the countries of the Western Balkans will achieve significant progress. Of course, we still have many reforms ahead of us. We were treated here with genuine respect, and we greatly appreciate that,” Vučić said.
