IDF strike kills Hezbollah operatives posing as journalists, paramedics
On March 29, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) carried out a strike that killed Ali Hassan Shaib, a militant from the intelligence unit of Hezbollah’s “Radwan Force,” the IDF said in a statement.
“For many years, Shaib operated to aid Hezbollah in various ways while working as a journalist, and in 2020, he officially joined Hezbollah’s military wing,” the statement said.
During the same strike, Mohammad Fatouni, another militant from Hezbollah’s military wing who also posed as a journalist, was killed.
The IDF noted that a female journalist near the terrorists was also killed. The army emphasised that its operations target terrorists while making every effort to minimise harm to civilians.
"The IDF is also aware of the report that following the strike, Haj Khalil and Mohsen Ali Alshami, two additional Hezbollah terrorists who operated under the guise of paramedics, approached the area and were hit," the army said on Telegram.
