IDF strikes Hezbollah infrastructure in southern Lebanon VIDEO
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced it has carried out airstrikes targeting what it described as Hezbollah “terrorist infrastructure” in southern Lebanon. The strikes targeted areas where engineering equipment was being used to reconstruct positions previously destroyed by Israeli operations.
In an official statement, the IDF said the presence of the equipment and the activity by Hezbollah constituted a violation of existing understandings between Israel and Lebanon, Caliber.Az reports.
“The Hezbollah terrorist organization continues its efforts to reestablish terrorist infrastructure across Lebanon, while cynically exploiting the Lebanese population as human shields,” the statement read.
The military added that it “will continue to operate in order to remove any threat posed to the State of Israel,” signaling a potential continuation of cross-border tensions.
