IDF strikes Iranian air defence site near Caspian Sea

The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) attacked an Iranian air defence installation near the Caspian Sea, according to an IDF statement reported by Caliber.Az.

“The IDF continues to expand its air superiority into new areas across Iran. As part of the waves of strikes completed yesterday (March 29), the Israeli Air Force, supported by AMAN and LAMDAN intelligence, targeted a site hosting air defence systems of the terrorist Iranian regime near the Caspian Sea in northern Iran," the army said.

The army said that the site was concealed in forested terrain, more than 1,600 kilometres from Israeli territory. 

"The air defence systems posed a threat to Israeli Air Force aircraft, and their neutralisation preserves and even expands air superiority over Iranian airspace,” the statement said.
