IDF targets Hamas-linked weapons site, expands operations across Gaza
The Israel Defence Forces (IDF), guided by intelligence from the IDF and Israeli Security Agency (ISA), continued their operations across the Gaza Strip, targeting armed groups and infrastructure.
In the Alfarkan area of Gaza, the IDF conducted an airstrike on what it described as a weapons manufacturing site used by Hamas, Caliber.Az reports per IDF.
According to the military, the site produced weapons that have been used throughout the conflict. The IDF said measures were taken to minimise civilian harm, including prior evacuation, the use of precision-guided munitions, aerial surveillance, and intelligence coordination.
In northern Gaza, Israeli ground forces continued efforts to neutralise underground and surface-level infrastructure. During one operation, a mortar launcher targeting Israeli forces was located and dismantled.
In Daraj Tuffah, the Israeli Air Force (IAF) carried out a strike after forces identified a group of around ten fighters in the vicinity. The IDF reported that the individuals were eliminated following the airstrike.
Further south, in Beit Hanoun, Israeli troops engaged in close combat operations, dismantling combat infrastructure and reporting the deaths of several militants.
In the southern part of the Gaza Strip, IDF forces said they discovered tunnel shafts and continued targeting armed operatives while disabling additional infrastructure.
