IDF targets Iranian military and intelligence facilities
The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) reported that its latest wave of airstrikes targeted multiple Iranian military and intelligence sites.
Among the sites hit was the "Thar-Allah" command center, a key facility operated by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) tasked with defending the capital, Tehran, from both external and internal threats, Caliber.Az reports per the IDF’s official statement.
Israeli forces also struck the "Sayyed al-Shuhada" Corps, which is part of the IRGC and has responsibilities for homeland defence and managing internal security.
In addition, the General Intelligence Directorate of Iran’s Internal Security forces was targeted. According to the IDF, this agency oversees personnel within Iran’s internal security units and monitors the flow of information and media within the organisation.
The Israeli military stated that the strikes were part of its broader campaign aimed at reducing the military capabilities of the Iranian regime, with the goal of enhancing Israel’s national security.
